Save the Greenbelt but when we asked for help to change, no one cared enough to do anything about it....

This used to be a beautiful green field,

the field over the wall, but now this is how it looks it is a muddy eyesore see below,

the stables which will soon will be built will look like this, not what you expect on your greenbelt fields or what you would expect stables to look like, it is more like a commercial stables, but its okay its only greenfield, its only for horses and not humans

and it is also okay because the owners put their beloved beautiful horses on the land before gaining permission for stables which they transferred from official stables to save money, the existing stables on their property was dismissed suitable down to the planning officer referred to the horsing association guidelines, the existing stables are at the front of the property and has plenty of space for extending.

However this was all dismissed and every concern we had have been dismissed.

The planning officer also dismissed
- green belt issues, saying it is okay for horses to be put any where on the greenbelt area because they are horses, and it is okay to build a stable regardless how big it is, this happens to be bigger than a 3/ 4 bedroom house but because it is horses and not humans it is okay???

- stated that horsing association recommendations from having a 30 metre distance from residential housing was not her duty to obey by these rules, YET told us that they do not need to abide by these rules but at the same time they want to use these very same guidelines to justify why the owners cannot use their current stables

- they dismissed every health and safety issues on a number of matters, one being the land is on a slope and will impact our home, and our safety of our home and our lives and have now stated it is not their responsibility if god forbid a vehicle lands on our home

- the officer came onto our land with out permission and did not take photos of the right parts relating to the applicant application,  IGNORED the closeness of the new trek to our bedroom windows....

- dismissed noise pollution, and compared it to jumping on a trampoline and regular garden noises? since when does a tractor and a car sound like a trampoline....

- we also found out that apparently it is okay to build a trek on a sloping hill because the owner told them it won't be used often

 - also I just notice where you see the tree, this tree will be totally killed off once they dig down for the trek / road , because as a matter of fact our outbuildings are falling over and our goods inside have been totally destroyed, because the wetness from the now muddy field has gone under our concrete bases and these are now useless, yet these very same outbuildings the planner have used these to make the impact okay for the closeness of the stables against our home !!!

- we also found out the planner lives next door to commercial stables, therefore we should have to put up with having a bigger than needed stable in our back garden!!! with no regards to our environmental risks, or retaining land issues, no regards to noise or light issues or greenbelt issues, and that according to the planner, does not impact our lives????....

- the owner told us something completely different about these plans, did not show us their plans before submitting to planning and told us that the planning officer suggested that this was the only suitable place to sit the stables despite a gated access into the tons of land they own, the planning officer told us that she did not suggest the position of the stables at all.....they do not care at all about the impact this has on us, our home, or the greenbelt

the owners have already turned their home into a busy office (so they do not need to pay business rates, and apparently they do not need planning to convert into offices, even though they will have a high turn over of staff and because the owner has said they will not have much traffic on the trek / road) yet we can foresee this being used as a car park because there drive is already being used as a car park! so when they have staff meetings, you can predict what will happen to this drive

But accidents do not happen apparently !!!

- fact is the owner who owned the house before, lost her child to a freak accident on the main road, and freak accidents happen on the main road coming into our lane...

I have found out the hard way that there is no protection for us, and our home and the owner was right, it is their land they can do what ever they like despite being greenbelt.....and proudly said no legal details was left in the deeds if the land was to be turned in alternative use if they decide to build on this in the near future, they brought this off the poor old woman whose relatives sold on her behalf

the owner has a lot of land, yet the planning officer did not think it be impact on our garden or our home,

so far we have since found out that no one cares enough to do anything about it yet we all have the power to change things, we should not wait for this build to built and an accident happens....

because this is an accident waiting to happen, and we have put an formal complaint in,

the owner runs a company that is suppose to care about people, but the stress I have endured over this nightmare and being accused of things I am not, because I asked if they could move the location of the stables and the trek was deemed as being ridiculous and pointed out we should be taking care of our garden which as it is winter and they know I am so very pregnant in which I cannot do a lot about, especially when some one has knocked over our wall on the bottom of our garden, but accidents do not happen

I like to know who will is going to care enough to say, sorry???

surely we need to protect our green belt, and should not be using horses to gain planning permission for a massive stables like this, and it should not be so very big that it impacts the greenbelt and existing properties that were there before the new owner came along

not only is it shocking to place precious horses on a site with no proper accommodation, however as it happens the owners have been using their current stables, as they not left the precious horses out in the snow. But this is still deemed not fit enough to keep them, and this big massive stables which is over the deemed sizes, is deemed okay

I have found out that people only care when it is too late, will this be when I am ten feet in the ground because of that freak accident, because we can see a vehicle ending up onto our garden and our home

because this has now been passed, no one cares....no one can admit they made a mistake, and we suppose to deal with this, we have a young child and a very much wanted child on the way, after numerous baby losses,

the only solution the planning officer came up with is to install a 6ft fence, what good is a 6ft fence going to do, when a vehicle can knock a solid walling over!! also the fact the land is now a muddy mess, how the hell can we install fence posts in securely when the outbuildings are now totally destroyed since the land has turned into a mess ! and the fact we had beautiful green fields to look at, and now look onto muddy fields...

but it is does not matter because its horses, and its okay to install a big massive stable, because we have no planning laws or policies protecting our greenbelts and we ignore the very guidelines that are in place because of good reasons like this situation, the horsing association took the time and money to do these guidelines to avoid situations like this, surely these should be taken more seriously...

nothing like loving and respecting your neighbours, lets forget how high risk I am, I could still lose my precious baby I am carrying, I know for sure this stress is not great for me, but I am up worrying about when that car will land in my bedroom....

but it is all okay because you can build and install drives / treks which are for the purpose of vehicles despite being too close to your neighbours property, its not your property at risk, your safety at risk, your child life at risk....

I am told by the current owner that I do not deserve to live in the country side because I am complaining about all of this, I have lived here for a long time, I have every right to live in the country side, I also have the right to want to protect our greenbelt too

but because I think the following,

- the size of the stables is wrong
- the position of the stables is wron
- the trek / road what ever you want to call it, will run a risk to a vehicle landing in our garden on our home while we sleep
- the beautiful tree you see will be destroyed by the digging for the trek
- there is already a gated entrance yet the new owner sticks a gate on our entrance, and guess what they do not need permission despite this saying this
You will need to apply for planning permission if you wish to erect or add to a fence, wall or gate and:
  • it would be over 1 metre high and next to a highway used by vehicles (or the footpath of such a highway); or over 2 metres high elsewhere; or
  • your right to put up or alter fences, walls and gates is removed by an article 4 direction or a planning condition; or
  • your house is a listed building or in the curtilage of a listed building.
  • the fence, wall or gate, or any other boundary involved, forms a boundary with a neighbouring listed building or its curtilage.

I am also being abused online and on the council website, all while I am trying to grown my baby and protect my home and garden, I been told I should be ashamed of my home, and that I be posing a risk to my own children, my child is loved and cared for and I am a good person who helps save lives and supports people daily for free, and who happens to like horses and animals, I just do not want a stable in my back garden AND a trek / road that poses so many risks to my home and my children and family lives....

People moaned about the snow, but what do we expect....

People also moan about the greenbelt, but yet no one can protect the green belt around us...

One day this may happen to you, and one day you be reading about the accident they said would not happen too....

I spend my life helping others, yet when I asked for help with getting our points across and being listened to do something about it, there is not one person who cares about the impact on this bigger than needed stable....

today, we were not listened to at all to rectify our concerns, but it was just to make excuses why this was okay to build on greenbelt, so please do not ask me why this has upset me, or why we no green fields in the very near future, this case has also shown how easy it is to gain planning permission....

So if you a horse owner and land owner, it is right you can build anything on green belt regardless what implications or impacts you have on your new neighbours, just ignore these very people who lived here for YEARS.

despite you having tons of land, you can just upset us by building such big structures, when there is already a gated entrance in which you could have placed your stables away from being so closed to your neighbours home, and then you would never have to build a trek so close to our home, what ever happened to people being kind to each other and trying your best to get on with your neighbours and caring and loving your neighbour these days....

why care about human being lives and respecting neighbours, this could have been avoided and a better solution could have been made, I now cannot leave my home, and I no longer feel safe in my home for the fear of the vehicle coming on top of me when I am either sleeping or doing my garden when the sun comes out, or should I say if it does...but accidents do not happen,,,

I had so many dreams for our home, so many plans for our garden and now it such a small space of time, my dreams have been shattered all on one application  and a decision which disregarded every single concern, which has impacted me, and my mental health as guidelines is a big trigger for my Post traumatic stress disorder which brings me back to the day I lost my daughter Sinead, funny thing is after fighting for years finally got someone to realise medically that guidelines do matter, the same should apply for planning too....

so today has been tough and brought one too many memories back, and now my future lives of my family life has been impacted by a decision where guidelines have been ignored because horses come before humans, and a big stable is okay to sit in the beautiful muddy field which used to be a beautiful green field which was once used by sheep...

I lost my faith in the system today, the very one that is suppose to protect residential homes, and greenbelt

and as I found out, the planning has been passed so others have basically said SOD it, what does it matter to them or you, its not impacting your home and sod it in not so many words of the planner, it's only a big massive stable at the back of your garden on greenbelt on a 5.5 acres site......

We were so hoping for a compromise, to make the stables fit in with the land, away from our home, and the track / road what ever you like to call it, to be taken away from next to our bedroom windows. We have already written to the council head of planning to tell them we are making them liable for any vehicle or any harm to our child and that of my unborn child's life, it takes one second for a vehicle to slip, and accidents happen every day, we never ever learn from the likes of Grenfell tower issues, which were all health and safety, why do these people in power never learn or listen to the general public..,,,and instead of admitting they made a mistake and ensure this road is placed else where, they rather protect their pride, but its okay we allowed to make mistakes, its not okay though to ignore health and safety issues which put the general public at risk, and greenbelt issues,
its simply NOT okay...
